At Southbridge Savings Bank we recognize that confidentiality of personal nonpublic information is extremely important to you and have taken steps to protect your privacy.

 

The Type Of Information We Collect

We routinely collect nonpublic personal information about you from account applications or other forms, transaction history with us, others and from consumer reporting agencies. Example of such information includes your name, address, social security number, assets and income.

This information is used to establish your accounts with us and we use personal identifying information to protect your accounts from fraud.

Information is required to satisfy certain regulatory requirements, such as obtaining your social security number on interest bearing accounts as required by the Internal Revenue Service.

 

Maintenance of Accurate Information

Our employees have established procedures for keeping customer’s financial information accurate, current and complete and we maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards through strict controls and secure technology to comply with federal standards to guard your nonpublic personal information.

Procedures are in place to correct any inaccurate information in a timely manner as brought to our attention.

We restrict access of nonpublic information to those employees who need to know that information in order to provide services or financial products to you.

Our entire staff are trained and all have signed confidentiality statements.

 

What We Don’t Do

We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our current customers or former customers unless the information is required to complete a customer initiated transaction, the customer requests a release of information, the disclosure is permitted by law.

 

When We Work With Third Parties

We may work with third parties to provide products and services we feel would benefit our customers.  We may disclose all of the information we collect, as described above to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf, or to other financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements. 

Our third party business partners are required to sign confidentiality agreements with our bank and are restricted from using or releasing information provided other than for our intended marketing.
